My love for salmon!

If I could, I would eat salmon every day. But you know, it's probably not a good idea since moderation is key and all.

Like most fish, salmon is packed with Omega-3 fatty acids that are responsible for giving you shiny hair, bright eyes, and healthy skin. With other nutrients such as Vitamins A, D, E, B26, and B12, they also help lower the risk of heart disease and certain cancers. Other health benefits include:

✰ Improves memory
✰ Lowers cholesterol
✰ Speeds up your metabolism
✰ Reduces the risk of having strokes & heart attacks

I thought I would share a simple recipe for baked salmon because it's not every day where you find something that tastes good and is also extremely beneficial to your health.

Makes 1-2 servings

Prep time: 10 minutes
Marinate for: 1-2 hours
Oven time: 35 minutes at 375º F

Ingredients:
2 cloves garlic, minced
4 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon dried basil
2 teaspoons ground black pepper
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
3 fillets (sliced very thin) salmon

Directions:
1. In a glass bowl, prepare marinate by combining garlic, olive oil, salt, basil, pepper, lemon juice, and parsley. Pour the marinade over the salmon fillets in a baking dish. Marinate in the fridge for at least an hour.

2. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. A conventional oven will work also.

3. Place fillets in aluminum foil, cover with marinade*, and seal.

4. Bake for 35 minutes at 375º F or until it starts sizzling.

*Make sure you don't overdo this or the fillets will turn out soaked in oil.
